The indoctrination of Palestinian children to
seek Death for Allah - Shahada - has been PA policy since the
start of the war in October 2000, the most prominent means being the
indoctrination via music videos.

TV "Historical" series: Year 1956: 12-year-old boy reads essay he wrote[PATV, June 16, 2005] Al Dura Calls Children to Follow him to Paradise Through a child actor, this music video portrays a delightful Paradise of Muhammad Al Dura, whose death in a crossfire was broadcast on TV. He is portrayed flying a kite, frolicking on the beach and even at an amusement park. The clip opens with the invitation to other children from Al Dura: "I am waving to you not in parting, but to say 'follow me'”. [PA TV Dec 25, 2000 and repeatedly since then] Farewell Letter Music Video A young boy leaves a farewell letter to his parents and goes off to seek Death for Allah - Shahada - describing the death he aspires as “sweet.” This PA indoctrination clip is designed to offset a child’s natural fear of death, by depicting Shahada as heroic and tranquil. [PA TV 2001- 2003, repeatedly, Aug-Sept. 2004] - Transcript Palestinian Journalist to 7-yr olds - Don’t be afraid to die A Palestinian journalist asked a second grade child if he feared death. When the child hesitated, the journalist shook her head to signal that the correct answer was “no”, even for 7-year-olds. [PA TV Oct. 29, 2000] - Transcript We Teach Children Shahada - Head of Children's Org In English, PA leaders have denied that they encourage their children to aspire to Shahada. However in Arabic, the PA continues to express pride in educating children to aspire to Shahada, portraying it as a national achievement. The Director of the Palestinian Children’s Aid Association candidly reiterated this PA educational policy, on PA TV. [May 4, 2003] - Transcript Yasser Arafat's Message to Children - Be a Shahid Arafat explains that dead Palestinian children- Shahids - are “the greatest message to the world”. [PA TV Jan. 15, 2002] - Transcript Young Children Convinced of Death as a Shahid as Ideal Two 11 year old girls articulate their personal goal to Die for Allah - Shahada, explaining that “all Palestinian children” see Shahada because of its promised grand Afterlife, as more worthwhile than living. camp Play Depicts Israelis as MurderersThe Palestinian Authority goes to great lengths to promote hatred of Jews and Israelis. Many hateful video clips are broadcast, often, for hours a day. In a PA summer camp children act out a murder by Israelis. The "Israelis" all carry toy guns and shoot the Palestinian farmer. It was broadcast on PA TV - as part of the summary of summer camp activities for children. Children are Combatants in PA Ideology Short indoctrination clips and music videos for children, promoting violence as an ideal that is expected of them, were broadcast daily on PATV, often for several hours a day, during the period of conflict, Oct. 2000 - mid 2003. Talking Chick Promotes Massacre with AK-47 On a children’s program discussing the importance of trees, "Tarabisho" - the Talking Chick -- was the center of the discussion. The child moderator asked the talking chick what he would do if someone, specifically a “little boy,” were to chop down his tree. In his squeaky little voice, Tarabisho answered: "I'll fight him and make a big riot, I'll call the whole world and make a riot. I'll bring AK-47s [assault rifles] and the whole world, I'll commit a massacre in front of the house". [PA TV: Oct. 22, 2004] Song and Dance to Violence This MTV style music video from PA TV calls upon children to attack Israelis with stones: “You will not be saved, Oh Zionist, from the volcano of my county’s stones” and is sung to scenes of children throwing stones and participating in frenzied "war dances”. [PA TV Mar. 2002- June 2003, repeatedly] Child Soldiers of the PA Mother: "I would have preferred a different son had died" Music Video to Children: "Fight and Don't be Afraid" This PA TV music video instructs children to attack soldiers with stones and attempts to allay their fears. "Don"t be Afraid" the 10 year old sings to the 5 year old repeatedly. "The stone in their hand turns into a rifle..." This was broadcast repeatedly 2000 - 2003. Teaching Children they can Destroy Israeli Symbols One of the most frequently broadcast PA music videos over 3 years teaches children that throwing stones at Israelis defends mother's honor. In one scene young boys throw stones at a glass window - smashing Jewish symbols and extinguishing the flames on a Menorah [Jewish Traditional Candelabra], teaching children that their stones are stronger than Judaism. PA Teaches Young Children to Replace Toys with Rocks Young Palestinian boys and girls taught to replace their trucks and dolls with rocks [PA TV May 2, 2001] Kill all the Jews - Words of Palestinian Teenager on TV A teenage girl calls for the killing of Jews: “We won't leave a single Jew here.” [PA TV Oct. 22, 2000] PA Children Taught to be Combatants - Visual Messages (08-23-02) In the very same week that the Palestinian Journalists Union “banned journalists from photographing Palestinian children carrying weapons ... [because] the pictures harm the Palestinian cause” [AP, Jerusalem Post Aug. 26, 2002] PA TV interviewed a child in his home - and for the purpose of the interview - he held a Kalatchnikov automatic rifle. The media regularly shows pictures of children with weapons. [PA TV Aug. 23, 2002] Denying Israel’s Right to Exist and Anticipating its Destruction The foundation of Palestinian ideology is the denial of Israel’s right to exist. Jewish history is rewritten and Jewish historical presence in the Land of Israel in erased. All the agreements with Israel are said to be temporary. Palestinian TV regularly broadcasts, songs, dance, sermons and video clips encouraging Arabs to anticipate, visualize, and hope for Israel’s destruction and replacement by a future “Palestine” from the river to the sea.
A television clip that had been broadcast hundreds of times since 1998
has returned in May 2005. The clip for children defines the entire land
of Israel as “Palestine”, saying that "in 1948 they (the
Israelis) took everything…" and explains that “they”
(the Israelis) changed its name. However it is still
“Palestine”.
The clip, called
“My Homeland” opens with singing children who are building
“Palestine", “building” houses and
“planting” trees in a joyous atmosphere. Suddenly the song
stops and the music ends. There is an earthquake and all of the houses
and trees collapse and the girl says in a mournful tone: “Do you
know what happened in 1948? They took everything. They emptied the
room, they broke the house, they burned down the forest, they changed
the names, changed the names… This is still my country, it is
very pretty. My country’s name is Palestine.”[PA TV, May
13, 2005] The message to the
Palestinian Authority’s children is that Israel’s creation
is to be seen as theft.

teens sing and dance about
Destruction of Israel At a high school graduation ceremony teenagers sing about conquering Israel. Haifa Jaffa and Ramle, Israeli cities, will be liberated with the "knife and the stone". [PATV July 7, 2003] PA Child: "We must expel the Israelis" "They [the Jews] came to take Palestine, that is Tel-Aviv, Jaffa, Haifa, Acco, Ramle. All these cities belong to Palestine," explains a Palestinian child, echoing years of PA delegitimization of Israel. "We hope, hope, hope … all the countries of the world, will support the Palestinians and will expel the Israelis…We must expel all Israelis …because there is nothing in the world called 'Israel'.” [PATV December 25, 2003] PA teaches Children: All Jewish History is Lies (PATV 10-08-01) Palestinians rewrite Jewish history teaching that Solomon’s Temple in Jerusalem is “the greatest lie in history by those liars.” The Prophets of the Hebrew Bible are said to have no connection to the Jews but to Islam. All of the Jews' connection to the Land of Israel is "lies". One example: Prof. Issam Sissalem, Islamic University, Gaza. [PA TV Oct. 8 2001] Map of "Palestine" [Israel] is in chains The PA teach their children that all of Israel is actually "stolen Palestine". This is often depicted by showing the map of Israel in chains, as in this children's broadcast on PA TV. Note the date - Sept. 2000. This has been the PA educational policy continuously since the start of the Oslo process. [PATV July 25, 2000] PA Support of Suicide Terror and Murder The Palestinian Authority leadership utilizes the Palestinian media to register its unqualified promotion of terror, including suicide terrorism, by glorifying suicide terrorists, murderers, and their "successful" missions. Her son is killed attacking Israelis and his body is brought to her. After her traditional wail of joy she hands his rifle to the next in line. PA produced music video broadcast numerous times. Mothers Express Joy at son’s Death for Allah In order to present Shahada (Martyrdom for Allah) -seeking as a popular and broad based phenomenon, the Palestinian Authority gives significant media prominence to parents who praise their childrens' choice to die as Shahids- holy Martyrs: “The best Mother's day present I got this year was the death as a Shahid of Abbas."’ was quoted in the Palestinian Authority official daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida. [March 21, 2001]. A Palestinian mother of a suicide terrorist talks about how she and other mothers in her position see their sons Shahada death as a positive event -- like a joyful wedding. Mother of Terrorist Naji Al-Ajrami: He told me "pray for me that I will be a Shahid" The mother of Shahid terrorist Naji Al-Ajrami prayed forhttp://www.pmw.org.il/ her son's Shahada death, following her son's instructions Mother of Terrorist Samir Fuda: He said "72 Dark-eyed Maidens of Paradise are waiting for me" The mother of Samir Fuda, murderer of 3 Israelis, described her joy upon hearing of his death. She then recounted that he aspired to Shahada, because "72 Dark-eyed Maidens of Paradise are waiting for me". The promise of great rewards for the Shahid (Martyr for Allah) is often a motivating factor driving terrorists. [PA TV July 11, 2004; Apr 25, 2004; Mar. 1, 2004] Mother's Joy at her Son’s Shahada - Death for Allah A Palestinian mother explains her hope for of her son's death as a Shahid, because it was his wish to marry the "Dark Eyed" Maidens of Paradise.(PATV Jan. 21, 2003) Why Mother's Express Joy News of Son's Shahada - Death for Allah A mother explains: "Mothers make sounds of joy [on son's Shahada death] because she wants him to reach Shahada (Death for Allah)... I wanted the best for him... [it was] honor for us." (PATV Nov. 28, 2003) Mother's Joy at her Son’s Shahada - Death for Allah A mother expresses joy at her son’s Shahada - Death for Allah [PA TV, Sep. 24, 2002] Parting Ceremony Some suicide terror attacks are preceded by a parting ceremony of the terrorist from his mother. One such ceremony of a 17-year-old, before his suicide mission in which he killed 5 Israeli teenagers, was broadcast on ANN TV. [March 2002] Clarifying History Confusion about Israel-Arab affairs is often the result of incomplete or false historical information.This section of the archives clarifies some of the pressing questions of Israeli-Arab history. The Palestinian Authority produces music videos depicting Israeli soldiers as cold-blooded murderers. The Israeli army says it never targets civilians. History Clarified: A 14-year old Palestinian who repeatedly fought Israeli soldiers suffering 7 injuries, said Israeli soldiers show restraint, “have humanity”, and look at Palestinian children as if “this boy is like his son”.
